Support the Property Manager as well as the rest of the property team to ensure all tenant needs are handled with a warm smile and expeditiously. Manage the work order system, coordinate building engineer assignments, greet visitors and prospective tenants, process AP, and in general be the point person for all tenant requests. Some previous commercial property administrative support experience is required.
Supporting a commercial portfolio of medical office buildings you will manage AR, monthly billings, track the budgets, supervise the Administrative Assistant who handles the AP and tenant services. In addition coordinate the bid/proposal process and vendor selection, and manage tenant move-in/out. Previous experience with Yardi, MRI, or Avid a plus along with several years of CRE property management experience.
Responsible for the general ledgers for assigned properties, including monthly journal entries, income and expense accruals, job costing, expense recovery true-ups and adjustments as needed. Also calculate tenant recoveries, CAM, review AP and AR, and bank reconciliations. Assist Regional Controller/Manager in ad hoc projects as needed. Handle the accurate and timely preparation of periodic financial packages, forecasts & budgets including analyses and supporting schedules of all balance sheet and income statement accounts. Requires strong accounting skills with in-depth knowledge of US GAAP (specifically real estate); IFRS a plus, strong analytical ability, understanding details as well as big picture and being able to provide meaningful conclusions. At least two years of experience in commercial office/retail real estate accounting. Proficient in PC based software – experience in Yardi Voyager a plus. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration would be a plus. Heavier Property Accounting experience will be considered in lieu of college degree.
