Responsible for the general ledgers for assigned properties, including monthly journal entries, income and expense accruals, job costing, expense recovery true-ups and adjustments as needed. Also calculate tenant recoveries, CAM, review AP and AR, and bank reconciliations. Assist Regional Controller/Manager in ad hoc projects as needed. Handle the accurate and timely preparation of periodic financial packages, forecasts & budgets including analyses and supporting schedules of all balance sheet and income statement accounts. Requires strong accounting skills with in-depth knowledge of US GAAP (specifically real estate); IFRS a plus, strong analytical ability, understanding details as well as big picture and being able to provide meaningful conclusions. At least two years of experience in commercial office/retail real estate accounting. Proficient in PC based software – experience in Yardi Voyager a plus. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration would be a plus. Heavier Property Accounting experience will be considered in lieu of college degree.
